Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers made headlines ahead of the team's Week 15 game after an article from The Athletic's Kalyn Kahler detailed how difficult his hand signal system is for players to learn.

The story became a talking point again on Monday night after Rodgers and Christian Watson failed to hook up for a touchdown because the wideout missed the QB's signal before the play.

Rodgers was asked about the article during his weekly appearance on the Pat McAfee Show. He clearly wasn't a fan of it, calling it the "dumbest article of the season."

Rodgers also said the story was a "nothing burger" and "exaggerated nothingness."

Kaher didn't let Rodgers' dig slide, though. The senior writer at The Athletic responded with a tweet right after the quarterback's appearance on the show, reminding everyone that her sources were all on the record, so these were actual claims from the people directly involved.

It's safe to say Rodgers and Kahler don't see eye-to-eye on this controversial topic. The article presented quotes from several current and former players that admitted Rodgers' hand-signal system is often hard to completely understand, leading to reduced effectiveness on the field at times.

The quarterback, meanwhile, doesn't think there's an issue here at all. However, it's hard to argue in favor of this approach after it clearly backfired on Monday night with Watson.
