Tempers flared early in the third quarter after Aaron Donald tackled Joe Burrow near the sideline.

Donald extended his arms and shoved Burrow to the ground while the latter was going out of bounds near the Bengals' sideline. Cincinnati took exception to the hit, with offensive lineman Trey Hopkins shoving Donald while he made his way to his QB.

Donald then exchanged shoves with other Bengal players, and Rams linebacker Ernest Jones joined the fray to back up his teammate.

Fellow Rams players made their way to the sideline to retrieve their teammates, and exchanged words with the Cincinnati bench before cooler heads prevailed.

The scuffle certainly got Donald going, who then went on to record his second sack and force the Bengals into a field goal later in the drive.

Expect these teams to continue to get whatever edge they can as they try to hoist the Lombardi Trophy.
