Patrick Mahomes has taken the NFL by storm in 2018. The second-year quarterback out of Texas Tech has thrown 14 touchdowns to zero interceptions in just four games and undoubtedly won over any doubters when he brought the Chiefs back from down 10 in the fourth quarter against the Denver Broncos on "Monday Night Football."

The only thing that's left for Mahomes is to get a sweet nickname. Given his last name, there are some solid options available.

Patomic Bomb:

This was a nickname coined by the NFL Network's Good Morning Football show and obviously is referencing Mahomes' ability to absolutely rocket the ball down the field. This is a solid nickname, but I think it's better for when he completes a monster pass, not just for a general nickname.

Post Mahomes:

This is a great nickname right now. It's relevant and it flows well. If you don't know, it's a reference to rapper Post Malone so it's cool with the kids.

Kermit:

This is one that's already used in the locker room as a joke about Mahomes voice, which sounds a bit froggish when he talks. This is a fun alternate nickname, and Mahomes seems to take the muppet jokes in stride, so it could lead to some fun art or jokes outside of games.

This one is the cleanest of all the possible nicknames. It's not that creative as it just stands for Patrick Mahomes II. But that doesn't mean it's not still good. Apparently, some of his teammates already call him this, so it's in play.

Showtime:
This is still the best nickname for Mahomes, even if some people don't like it. It flows really well with Mahomes and it was a nickname that he has had since he was a kid. When asked, he also said that it was his favorite nickname.

Whatever you choose to call him, it looks like you'll be saying it for a while because Mahomes is here to stay.
