3 Bets to Make Right Now for Chiefs vs Eagles Super Bowl 57

Updated:

Super Bowl LVII is set as the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Philadelphia Eagles in a battle between the NFL's top juggernauts. Philadelphia is currently listed as a 1.5-point favorite over Kansas City, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. That's far from the only betting option ahead of this weekend, though.

The Super Bowl is the sports betting version of Christmas. There are already a wide variety of bets available on FanDuel Sportsbook and more will be added in the coming days. But with less than a week leading up to the game, there is plenty of time for these lines to shift.

Chiefs vs Eagles Bets

Here are three of the best early values to grab before the lines move just days ahead of Super Bowl LVII.

1. First-Quarter Spread — Eagles -1.5 (+130)

Just like their odds to win the game, the Eagles are also projected to lead by 1.5 points after the first quarter. Having said that, FanDuel Sportsbook favors the Chiefs to cover that spread — something I disagree with. Philadelphia has been great at getting an early lead this postseason, outscoring their first two opponents 21-0 in the first frame thus far. Meanwhile, Kansas City hasn't had nearly as much success, only leading 10-7 after the first frame. With the Chiefs' wide receiver room ravaged by injuries, I see Andy Reid's team getting off to a slower start. Being as healthy as they are, back the Eagles to cover the first-quarter spread while their odds still have nice value.

2. Travis Kelce — Receiving Yards: Over 79.5 (-114)

If the Chiefs' WR room continues being banged up, expect Patrick Mahomes to lean even more on Travis Kelce. Going back to the regular season, the NFL's top tight end has been hard to stop, averaging 8.3 catches for 79.2 receiving yards in his last six games. He's finished with over 79.5 yards in three of those outings, and came just two yards short of another instance against the Bengals. Considering how the eight-time Pro-Bowler racked up 133 receiving yards in his last Super Bowl appearance, it's clear that he turns things up to 11 when the spotlight is the brightest, making it a no-brainer to back the over on this prop.

3. A.J. Brown to Win Super Bowl MVP (+1800)

A.J. Brown's arrival during the offseason is one of the main reasons why the Eagles are playing in Super Bowl LVII. The talented wideout made everything look easy during the regular season, turning 88 catches into 1,496 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns. He's been quiet through two postseason games thus far (seven catches, 50 yards), but I see that changing on Sunday. First, the Chiefs aren't great at defending the pass, allowing 221.0 receiving yards (No. 19) on 24.1 receptions (No. 29) per game. Secondly, Brown showed that he can torch Kansas City in the past, racking up an 8-133-1 stat line the last time he faced the Chiefs (Week 2, 2021). With the Eagles and their fans knowing that he's capable of doing more than what he's done this postseason, I won't be shocked if Brown bounces back and takes home SB MVP honors with a performance to remember.
