3 Best Prop Bets for Timberwolves vs Lakers NBA Play-In Game on April 11 (Davis Dominates in Gobert's Absence)

Tuesday's slate of NBA Play-In Tournament games includes a showdown between the Minnesota Timberwolves and Los Angeles Lakers. FanDuel Sportsbook's latest odds list the Lakers as the 8.5-point home favorite with the projected total set at 233.

1. Anthony Davis — Points: Over 26.5 (-104)

After a strong finish to March, Anthony Davis has been relatively quiet in April, averaging just 17.0 points over his last four games. However, with Rudy Gobert being suspended for tonight's game, the Lakers big man has a great chance of hitting the over on the above prop. Karl-Anthony Towns just isn't that great of a defensive paint presence and history has shown it. After all, Davis is averaging 30.1 points in 16 previous matchups against Towns, finishing with more than 26.5 in 11 of those meetings. Considering how Davis just dropped 38 points on the T-Wolves back on March 31, he'll thrive again in Gobert's absence.

2. Mike Conley — Assists: Over 5.5 (-106)

After being traded from the Utah Jazz to the Timberwolves earlier this season, Mike Conley saw his assists per game drop from 7.7 to 5.0. Although the under on his projected assist total is favored, I can see him finishing with at least six helpers tonight. After all, Conley has hit the mark eight times over his last 15 outings. He also tends to step up against the Lakers, averaging 7.1 APG in his last 10 meetings with them. With Los Angeles allowing the 15th-most assists while forcing the fourth-fewest turnovers, Conley should have enough time and space to finish with at least six assists.

3. LeBron James — Threes Made: Over 2.5 (-120)

Although LeBron James hasn't always been known for his three-point shot, he's been money from distance since his return from injury. James is averaging a whopping 4.5 threes on 48.6% shooting over his last four games, finishing with at least a trio of three-pointers in each contest. Fortunately for the four-time NBA Champion, the Timberwolves surrender 25.0 three-pointers per game (No. 12) on 36.9% shooting (No. 24). Minnesota will also be without top defender Jaden McDaniels, who fractured his wrist punching a wall. With one less defensive wing to worry about, look for James to have a day from downtown.
