3 Best Prop Bets for Lakers vs Grizzlies Game 5 (D'Angelo Russell Steps Up in Memphis)

Wednesday's NBA Playoffs slate includes an exciting Game 5 showdown between the Los Angeles Lakers and Memphis Grizzlies. The Lakers took a 3-1 series lead on Monday thanks to a 117-111 overtime Game 4 win. LeBron James posted an impressive double double (22 points & 20 rebounds).

1. D'Angelo Russell - Points: Over 15.5 (-106)

This number jumps out as a bit too low for D'Angelo Russell considering he has tallied at least 16 points in three of the four games in this series. He has accomplished that feat despite shooting only 36.8% from the floor, which is an obvious downgrade from his 42.6% career mark. That means all that needs to happen for this bet to cash is for Russell to be average considering he is seeing the necessary volume (14.3 shot attempts per game). He is not hesitating to launch from deep against a Memphis team that ranks 23rd in opponent made three-pointers per game (12.8), either.

2. Jaren Jackson Jr. - Made Threes: Under 1.5 (-115)

Jaren Jackson Jr. posted an efficient double double in Game 4 (14 points & 14 rebounds), yet he was held to less than 2 made three-pointers for the third straight game. The 23-year-old is shooting just 28.6% from beyond the arc in this series (4-of-14) and is being utilized as a force in the paint more than anything else. That should come as a no surprise as the Lakers have been shutting down the perimeter all season long. In fact, they rank second in opponent three-point percentage (34.2%). Jackson's lack of reliability from deep combined with LA's dependable defense make this prop bet a great option.

3. Xavier Tillman - Points + Rebounds: Over 18.5 (-108)

The emergence of Xavier Tillman was not something many NBA fans expected to see in this series full of superstar players. The former Michigan State standout has shined for the Grizzlies, though, averaging 13.3 points and 11.0 rebounds across Games 2, 3 & 4. Tillman has also seen his minutes increase with each passing game, meaning his role in Game 5 should not be diminished. The Memphis role player is crashing the glass with confidence and it is providing him with chances for put-back scores. Sprinkling some money on Tillman to record a double double (+270) on Wednesday is another avenue worth pursuing here.
