3 Best Prop Bets for Phillies vs Astros 2022 World Series Game 6

Updated:

Game 6 of the 2022 World Series is slated for Saturday, Nov. 5 after the Houston Astros took a 3-2 series lead over the Philadelphia Phillies on Thursday. FanDuel Sportsbook's MLB odds list the Astros as -146 moneyline favorites for Game 6 in a contest with a projected total of 7 runs.

Here are three of the best World Series prop bets for Game 6, courtesy of MLB odds on FanDuel Sportsbook.

World Series Prop Bets

1. Framber Valdez - Alt. Strikeouts: 7+ (+126)

Framber Valdez takes the mound for the Astros for the second time this series after earning the win in Game 2. The crafty southpaw had a performance to remember that night, racking up nine strikeouts over 6 1/3 innings en route to Houston's 5-2 victory. I fully expect Valdez to record seven-plus strikeouts again tonight, which he's done in two of his three starts this postseason and eight of his last 11 outings dating back to the regular season. With 19 punchouts in his two most recent starts against the Phillies (both in October), look for him to deliver again tonight.

2. Jose Altuve - 2+ Hits (+240)

Once again, Jose Altuve has been one of the Astros' best players in the World Series. In 22 at-bats so far, the eight-time MLB All-Star has already racked up seven hits while batting .318. A pair of those hits came in Game 2 against Zack Wheeler, who will be starting for the Phillies on Saturday. Altuve is swinging a hot bat right now with multiple hits in three of his last six games. With another championship on the line in Game 6, look for Altuve to come up big again for Houston.

3. Houston Astros - Most Hits (-110)

The Astros were the second-hardest team in baseball to strike out during the regular season (19.5%), which has served them well in the playoffs. Houston has out-hit Philadelphia in four of the five games so far and 41-28 overall. With how shaky Wheeler was in Game 2, giving up six hits over five innings of work, the Astros have a terrific opportunity to get on base early and often. Unless the Phillies totally turn things around against Valdez, who's had their number, I expect Houston to finish with more hits yet again.
