3 Best Prop Bets for FAU vs San Diego State NCAA Final Four Game (Darrion Trammell Leads Aztecs Offense)

3 Best Prop Bets for FAU vs San Diego State NCAA Final Four Game (Darrion Trammell Leads Aztecs Offense)

Updated:

Saturday's Final Four schedule includes an exciting showdown between the Florida Atlantic Owls and San Diego State Aztecs. FanDuel Sportsbook's latest odds list San Diego State as a small 2.5-point favorite with the projected total set at 131.5 points. Fans are in for a back-and-forth battle all night.

Here are three of the best prop bets for the Owls-Aztecs game, courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook.

FAU vs San Diego State Prop Bets

1. Darrion Trammell - Points: Over 9.5 (-128)

Darrion Trammell's ability to convert contested layups and drain shots from beyond the arc has been a big part the Aztecs' run to the Final Four. The senior is averaging 12.8 points across four tournament games and has cashed the over on his points prop in each of the past three contests. More importantly, he has shot a total of 39 shots in those three games. Trammell is not afraid to take over on the offensive end and is facing a Florida Atlantic defense that has given up at least 10 points to nine different players in its last four games. Back Trammell to ball out on Saturday.

2. Alijah Martin - Points: Under 13.5 (-130)

Alijah Martin finds himself in a similar situation as Trammell in that he has been stepping up as a scorer for his squad when it matters most. The difference is that Martin draws a terrible matchup. The sophomore regularly relies on his long-range shooting, which is shown by the fact that 11 of his last 17 shots from the floor have come from deep. That is exactly what San Diego State takes away from opposing offenses. The Aztecs have allowed an opponent three-point shooting mark of 27.7% on the year (No. 2 in NCAA) and only 3.7 made three-pointers over its last three games (No. 5 in NCAA). It's going to be tough for Martin to hit the 14-point mark.

3. Florida Atlantic Under 64.5 Points (-110)

This one is all about San Diego State's defense as the Aztecs have held each of their four tournament opponents to less than 65 points and own the 14th-best defensive efficiency mark in the country. Just three teams have scored more than 64 points against San Diego State since the start of February (16 games). The Aztecs have already shut down two teams that rank among the top 40 in offensive efficiency, too (Alabama & Creighton). Doing the same thing to a FAU team has scored 66 or less points in two of its four tournament games should not be too difficult. The Owls are not dominant enough on offense to trust in this matchup.
