Breeders' Cup wagers include everything that you can normally bet on a horse race. While many players still enjoy classic Win, Place, and Show bets, the bigger betting pools during the Breeders' Cup makes for bigger payouts in the Exacta and Trifecta pools.

With full fields of 10-14 runners in many of the 14 Breeders' Cup races and the best horses in the world competing, there are more opportunities for longer shots to break through and return a more lucrative payout in Exacta and Trifecta bets.

Whether you bet on the races a few times a year or every weekend for the biggest stakes races, the best information will help you make the best choice. By signing up with FanDuel Racing, new players can get a No Sweat First Win Bet up to $100.

Types of Exotic Bets:

  • EXACTA: You pick who you think will finish 1st and 2nd in order
  • TRIFECTA: You pick who you think will finish 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in order
  • SUPERFECTA: You pick who you think will finish 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th in order
  • You can BOX these bets, meaning the horses can finish in any order. However, this makes your bet more expensive as you are placing multiple bets in one.
  • You can also make a WHEEL or KEY bet where you have one horse selected to win, and multiple to come in second or third. You'd use this when you're more confident of the winner, but not as confident about other horses in the race.

Exotic and Trifecta Bets for Saturday Breeders' Cup Races

With 9 Breeders' Cup races at Keeneland on Saturday, Nov. 5, here are two races to consider for added Exacta and Trifecta bets. Horses analyzed and provided by FanDuel Racing are contenders at longer odds that can provide bigger payouts, including in the Superfecta.

1. Filly & Mare Sprint, Race 3

The Filly & Mare Sprint features a top win contender in Good Night Olive (3/1). She has won 5-straight races including 3-for-3 this year with a win last out in the Grade 1 Ballerina. She's clearly worth including with top jockey Irad Ortiz, Jr. riding for trainer Chad Brown.

But Obligatory (8/1) offers top value as a capable contender and deep closer with Jose Ortiz riding for trainer Bill Mott. She finished third behind Good Night Olive in the Ballerina, but had 5/2 odds and also finished ahead of the favorite Ce Ce, who is in this BC race at 3/1 odds.

Chain of Love (20/1) is the lone representative from Japan in this year’s Breeders’ Cup. She's also a closer who will get a fast, pressured pace setup to close into like Obligatory. Chain of Love finished fourth in Dubai earlier this year but ran even to Dr. Schivel, who finished runner-up in last year's Breeders' Cup Sprint.

- Good Night Olive (3/1)
- Obligatory (8/1)
- Chain of Love (20/1)

2. Sprint, Race 7

The Breeders' Cup Sprint at 6 furlongs features a favorite who will take tons of action and win bets. Jackie's Warrior (4/5) hasn't raced since August when he finished second. He won his other four starts this year, and has finished first or second in 10 of his last 11 starts. The only time he missed the Exata? In this BC Sprint last year. Jockey jJoel Rosario rides.

Elite Power (6/1) earned a perfect Super Screener score for this race from Horse Racing Nation. This colt is a son of the great Curlin, and enters with 4-straight wins while only getting better as he faced progressively tougher competition to win his debut stakes race last month. He'll be closing from off the pace with Irad Ortiz, Jr. riding

Jose Ortiz rides Kimari (4/1) - a mare taking on the boys and in top form. She's 3 for 3 going 6 to 6.5 furlongs and also 3 for 3 in the Trifecta on this Keeneland surface. She has been sparingly raced and fresh off a pair of wins in July and Sept., and also won a Grade 1 race here last year.

- Elite Power (6/10
- Kimari (4/1)
- Jackie's Warrior (4/5)
