Who is Announcing the Masters 2023? Full Breakdown of This Year’s Broadcast Crew by Channel

Updated:

The 2023 Masters Tournament will tee off this week as golf's very best battle it out at Augusta National. Fans are amped to watch the action, but the split nature of TV coverage means there's more to keep track of.

With that in mind, here's everything you need to know about TV coverage for the 2023 Masters.

Who is Announcing the Masters 2023?

Coverage of the Masters Tournament will once again be shared in 2023. ESPN is broadcasting the first and second rounds from Augusta National on April 6-7, while CBS will show the final two days. Scott Van Pelt is back to lead ESPN's broadcast, and the legendary Jim Nantz will head CBS' crew.

ESPN first took over early-round coverage from USA Network in 2008. Mike Tirico served as host from 2008-2016 before leaving for NBC Sports, and Van Pelt succeeded him. This will be Van Pelt's seventh year leading ESPN's golf analysis during the event.

Nantz, meanwhile, is synonymous with this storied major. He's been CBS' play-by-play man at the Masters since 1986, which means 2023 marks his 38th time working this tournament. The broadcasting veteran has stated he wants to hit 51 Masters appearances, which would coincide with the 100th anniversary of the event.

Other coverage of the event will be provided by SiriusXM Radio, the Masters app and even AI commentary provided by IBM.
