Toronto Maple Leafs Second Round Playoff Schedule 2023 (Next Opponent, Game Times and Dates for Semifinal Series)

Updated:

The Toronto Maple Leafs have officially advanced to the second round of the 2023 NHL Playoffs after taking down the Tampa Bay Lightning in their opening series. Now the Atlantic Division's No. 2 seed prepares to play in the Eastern Conference semifinals for the first time since the 2004 postseason.

Here's everything you need to know about the Maple Leafs' upcoming second round series.

When Do the Maple Leafs Play Next in the NHL Playoffs?

The Maple Leafs won't be waiting long for their next game, which will be on Tuesday, May 2. This will be the first game of a best-of-seven series with a trip to the Eastern Conference Finals on the line.

Who Will the Maple Leafs Play in Round 2 of the Playoffs?

As the 2-seed in the Atlantic Division, Toronto will face the wild-card Florida Panthers.

The Maple Leafs' second-round matchup will be a typical best-of-seven series that follows the 2-2-1-1-1 format. That means the better seed (Toronto) hosts Games 1 and 2, plus Games 5 and 7 if those are necessary. The worse seed (Florida) hosts Games 3 and 4, plus Game 6 if that is necessary.

If the Maple Leafs beat the Panthers to advance, they would then head to the Eastern Conference Finals with a Stanley Cup Finals berth on the line.
