Quail Hollow Location, Weather & History for 2023 Wells Fargo Championship

Updated:
PGA Tour players are preparing for the 2023 Wells Fargo Championship in Charlotte, NC. The long 7,538-yard Par 71 course was originally designed by famed golf course architect George Cobb in 1961 to capture the beauty and challenging terrain of the Piedmont region.
A redesign by Tom Fazio in 1997 and modifications by Fazio to several holes in the summer of 2016 prepared the course to host the 2017 PGA Championship, modernizing the course with increased length to make it a quintessential fit as a Major championship venue. Quail Hollow also hosted the 2022 President's Cup and is slated to host the 2025 PGA Championship as well.
