Teams across the NFL are preparing to ramp up for the 2022 regular season with the start of training camp. The Indianapolis Colts are one of the last squads to take the field as the preseason nears.

Here's everything Colts fans need to know about training camp this year.

When Does Indianapolis Colts Training Camp Start?

Each team has two separate start dates for training camp, as rookies are often required to report a few days before veterans. The Colts have one of the later starts of teams across the league, with rookies reporting on Saturday, July 23.

Then, on Tuesday, July 26, Indianapolis' veterans are mandated to report for training camp. This gives just two weeks to prepare for the team's first preseason game on Aug. 13.

The Colts will host training camp at the Grand Park Sports Campus in Westfield, Indiana.

Colts Training Camp Dates 2022

Colts rookies will report for training camp on July 23, followed by vets on July 26. Indianapolis will then host practices to get ready for its first preseason game on Aug. 13.

The Colts' first preseason game is on the road against the Buffalo Bills. Indianapolis also plays again on Aug. 20 (vs. Detroit Lions) and Aug. 27 (vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers).

The Colts will suit up on Sunday, Sept. 11 versus the Houston Texans in Week 1 of the 2022 campaign.

One injury that the Colts are dealing with is Tyquan Lewis' knee issue. The 27-year-old veteran spent the final nine games of the season on the injured list, leaving fans to wonder about his training camp status.

The Colts received an update on Lewis' status earlier this week and it wasn't a great one. It seems that his rehab still has a ways to go and that there's a chance that he could begin the upcoming season on the PUP list. No matter how you look at it, Lewis likely won't be ready for training camp.
