How to Play Fantasy Game of Thrones

The final season of HBO's "Game of Thrones" is set to premiere on April 14. If you're looking for even more "Game of Thrones" content (and really, who isn't?), you might want to check out how to play fantasy "Game of Thrones."

Interestingly, the rules are pretty similar to your standard fantasy "Bachelor" league. Although unlike "The Bachelor," we're pretty sure there aren't many virgins in Westeros at this point in the show.

Fans create a league with their friends on Fantasizr, via this link. Each league can differ in size depending on how many people want to join, which could change team sizes as well.

Once the league is set, you draft your team from the pool of characters (even the Night King) who are still alive on the show. The draft will move forward like any typical fantasy snake draft, with the big scorers generally going early, and the supporting players generally going toward the end of the draft.

However, any character who has not been introduced in the show yet will be added to a free agent pool after his or her first appearance. If you wish to pick up an unlisted character, you'll have to drop a character you drafted to do it. But these characters might be pretty valuable, so make sure to stay vigilant on the Westeros waiver wire.

As for the scoring rules, you can check out the rules via this link, or in the tweet below. Julia Alexander, of the Verge, will be taking care of the scoring so long as you sign up on Fantasizr, so all you have to do is draft a team and monitor your standings. Naturally, the person with the most points at the end of the season wins.

Alternatively, you can elect someone in your league as scorekeeper, if you'd rather do it all offline.

Some of these rules are hilarious, so we wanted to highlight a few here. For example, if your character "commits an act of betrayal," you'll receive 15 points, so expect Cersei Lannister to fly off draft boards.

Additionally, characters can earn points by "killing a known character" (25 points), "dying memorably" (50 points) and even "having sex with a blood relative" (25 points).

All in all, with "Game of Thrones" coming to an end, there's no better time to start playing in a GOT fantasy league. Just be sure to print out the scoring rules via this link.
