FanDuel Fantasy Golf Picks for the Travelers Championship 2022 at TPC River Highland

Updated:

After an exciting U.S. Open, the PGA Tour turns its attention back to the regular schedule and heads to Connecticut for the Travelers Championship at TPC River Highlands.

The field isn't as stacked as last week's major, but there are plenty of elite players teeing it up this week in Cromwell. Let's take a look at three players to consider for your fantasy team ahead of the 2022 Travelers Championship.

Travelers Championship 2022 Fantasy Picks

Rory McIlroy Fantasy

I'm riding with Rory McIlroy until it doesn't pay off. He delivered another great performance for us last week with a top-5 finish at the U.S. Open. McIlroy now has five top-10 finishes in his last 6 starts and four top-5 finishes. Now he comes back to a course where he's never seen that level of success but also never had a terrible outing at. In three career starts at this event, McIlroy has never finished worse than 17th but has finished as high as 11th. Pair that past performance with the hot streak he's on now, and I'll take another great finish this week from Rory.

Sam Burns Fantasy

Sam Burns has played in this event three times as a professional, making all three cuts, and in three consecutive appearances, he has improved his finishing position. Last year he grabbed a 13th-place finish. He's also playing some really good golf coming into the event. He has two wins in his last eight starts, which are part of four top-5 finishes. He ranks No. 4 on tour this season in Strokes Gained (SG): Total.

Jason Day Fantasy

Jason Day has now made five consecutive cuts after a stretch of three straight missed cuts. This stretch includes a top-10 and a top-15 finish. However, when you take a look at his past performances at this event, things get even more encouraging. Day has played in this event seven times, making the cut six of those years. He also has finished T-12 or better in three of the last four years.
