Browns Reveal Amari Cooper's Injury Status Ahead of Kickoff

Updated:

The Cleveland Browns will have to pull off an upset over the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday should they wish to remain in the AFC North playoff hunt. Deshaun Watson is back under center as he continues to shake off the rust, but the team is dealing with an injury to another key offensive starter.

On Sunday, the Browns revealed Amari Cooper's injury status ahead of kickoff.

Amari Cooper Injury Update

Although listed as questionable, Cooper is "expected to play... barring any pre-game setbacks," according to NFL insider Adam Schefter. Cooper has a hip injury that earned him the questionable tag.

Cooper has played in all 12 of Cleveland's games up to this point and has been an anchor for the wide receiver room. His 102 targets, 61 receptions, 832 yards and 7 TDs all rank first on the club.

Cleveland needs Cooper at full strength on Sunday, as the Browns are currently listed as 3.5-point road underdogs according to the NFL odds on FanDuel Sportsbook.
