3 Best Prop Bets for Arkansas vs UConn NCAA Tournament Game (Adama Sanogo Dominates the Paint)

3 Best Prop Bets for Arkansas vs UConn NCAA Tournament Game (Adama Sanogo Dominates the Paint)

Updated:

Thursday's NCAA Tournament's Sweet 16 schedule includes a showdown between the No. 8 Arkansas Razorbacks and No. 4 UConn Huskies. FanDuel Sportsbook's latest odds list UConn as the 4.5-point favorite with the projected total set at 140.5 points.

Here are three of the best prop bets for the Razorbacks-Huskies game, courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook.

Arkansas vs UConn Prop Bets

1. Adama Sanogo — Rebounds: Over 8.5 (-106)

After leading the Big East with 7.4 rebounds per game, Adama Sanogo continues to dominate the paint. The 6-foot-9 forward is averaging 10.7 rebounds in his last three outings, finishing with a double-digit total twice. Fortunately for Sanogo, I see that trend continuing. While Arkansas surrenders just 32.7 RPG (No. 86), that number has slightly bumped up to 35.3 RPG over the last three games. The Razorbacks also shot just 40.0% from the floor in their previous three outings, meaning Sanogo should see plenty of opportunities to collect balls off the glass. With a ticket to the Elite 8 on the line, look for UConn's best player to step up.

2. Ricky Council IV — Points: Over 14.5 (-125)

After a 21-point effort against Kansas, expect big things from Ricky Council IV tonight. The Arkansas guard shouldn't have issues surpassing a 14.5-point total. After all, it's something he's done in six of his last nine outings, averaging 15.0 PPG during that time. Council's accuracy might not be the best, but it doesn't need to be for him to make good on this prop. He played all 40 minutes against Kansas and saw a team-high 18 shot attempts. As long as the game plan stays the same, Council finishing with 15+ points won't be an issue.

3. UConn Winning Margin — 1 to 10 Points (+172)

Although there's nothing wrong with backing UConn on the spread, this prop provides some extra value. The Huskies should win but likely won't do so by a double-digit margin. Arkansas just knocked off the defending national champions (Kansas) and won't go down without a fight. With a strong defense, the Razorbacks can keep things closer than expected. Going with this prop casts a safety net just in case that happens but also if UConn pulls away.
