Belmont Park Betting Picks

According to numberFire horse racing projections and Guaranteed Tip Sheet (GTS), these are some of the best bets to make at FanDuel Racing today. The best value option will not necessarily be the top pick(s).

The June 10th Belmont Stakes winner was Arcangelo, who closed at 8/1 odds and completed a 3-for-3 in the Late Pick 3.

The May 26 picks at Belmont produced two top play winners, but both as favorites. On Sat., May 27 at Belmont, FanDuel Racing top picks went 3-for-3 including a $2 exacta payoff for $89 in Race 9. FanDuel Racing's May 19 picks at Pimlico went 3-for-3 and produced an 11/1 winner on Taxed in the Black-Eyed Susan Stakes that also paid $190 on a $2 exacta bet.

1. Just Kiddin and Liguaria, Race 6

Race 6 is the Wild Applause Stakes for 3-year-old fillies at 1 mile on the turf. Irad Ortiz, Jr. and Jose Ortiz are the top jockey's at the meet, and the brothers ride Liguria (7/2) and Im Just Kiddin (10/1). Guaranteed Tip Sheet has those two as top win contenders with Im Just Kiddin on top. The numberFire projections have Liguria on top of Breath Away (2/1) and Shidabhuti (1/1), who will only run for trainer Chad Brown if the race is moved from turf to the main track.

2. Pioneering Spirit and Royal Spirit, Race 8

Race 8 is an Allowance race at 1 1/4 miles on the inner turf. Guaranteed Tip Sheet has a best bet on Pioneering Spirit (5/2) ahead of Reserve Currency (9/5) with the Ortiz brothers riding the favorites. But Chad Brown-trained Reserve Currency will only run if the race is moved to the main track, which is possible with rain in the forecast. The meets leading trainer Linda Rice hopes not, as she trains Pioneering Spirit and is trying to hold off Chad Brown for the Belmont training title. Pioneering Spirit is a son of Triple Crown winner American Pharoah. He took 12 races to break his maiden, but has now won two straight after Jose Ortiz rode him to victory again three weeks ago on this track. Royal Spirit (9/2) is also trained by Linda Rice and is a top win contender, according to numberFire's algorithm. He won over this track at a shorter distance in May.

3. Movie Moxy and Gerrymander, Race 9

Race 9 is an Allowance race for older fillies and mares at 1 mile. Just six runners and the Chad Brown-trained favorite Gerrymander (9/5) drops down after running in six straight graded stakes with a win and also a third-place finish here last month. His jockey changed to strong stretch rider Joel Rosario. Both numberFire and Guaranteed Tip Sheet project him as the winner with GTS making Gerrymander a best bet. The meets top trainer Linda Rice has both Icy Stare Down (10/1) and win contender Movie Moxy (3/1). She won here easily in May, and top jockey Jose Ortiz rides again.
