The Carolina Panthers got some amazing news ahead of their Week 4 clash with the Arizona Cardinals, as it was revealed that star running back Christian McCaffrey will play.
McCaffrey was questionable with a thigh injury heading into Sunday's contest, but the ailment is apparently not serious enough to keep him off the field.
Christian McCaffrey Injury Update
There were concerns last week that McCaffrey would be unavailable for Week 4 after missing practice on Wednesday and Thursday, but his chances of playing became more optimistic after he got in a limited practice on Friday.
McCaffrey's presence is a major boon to Carolina's offense, as he's one of the best players in football when healthy. The former Pro Bowler has gotten off to a strong start this season with 300 scrimmage yards and a touchdown over his first three games.
More importantly, McCaffrey's managed to stay on the field after playing just 10 games in the past two seasons combined. While his recent injury history causes alarm bells to go off whenever there's a whisper of him dealing with an ailment, thankfully his thigh issue wasn't serious in this case.
The 26-year-old superstar will try to help Carolina get back to .500 with a win over Arizona today. The Panthers are currently listed as 1-point underdogs on FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds.
