The Detroit Lions will look to right the ship in Week 8, coming off a their fourth consecutive loss. Two of the Lions best offensive players, their top running back D'Andre Swift and their top wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, have been dealing with injuries. The good news is, both are trending toward playing this week against the Miami Dolphins.
Amon-Ra St. Brown Injury Update
St. Brown played last week against the Dallas Cowboys, but entered concussion protocol. Luckily, head coach Dan Campbell thinks he will be cleared by Sunday and be on the field.
St. Brown has been stellar for the Lions this season, hauling in 28 catches for 275 yards and 3 touchdowns, certainly their most viable wide receiver. Getting him back on the field will be huge for Jared Goff and this Lions offense.
D'Andre Swift Injury Update
Running back D'Andre Swift has had a disappointing season thus far, but that's been mainly due to injuries. Swift hasn't played since the team's Week 3 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. But outside of a fantastic Week 1 performance, there has been something to be desired.
Swift has practiced in full this week, which is a great sign. While Jamaal Williams has done a solid job in Swift's absence, the strength of the Lions' rushing attack has always been the availability of both backs.
