The 2023 Belmont Stakes is nearly here, and horse racing fans are buzzing with excitement. The 155th Test of the Champions will feature nine horses vying for the crown.

Before the event begins, many are curious about the broadcast for this year's race. With that in mind, here's everything you need to know about TV coverage of the 2023 Belmont Stakes.

Who is Announcing the Belmont Stakes 2023?

The Belmont Stakes has officially moved to FOX for the 2023 campaign. This will be the network's first-ever time producing coverage of the prestigious event. FOX is turning to the legendary Tom Durkin to call the main race, while Curt Menefee's serving as studio host on the broadcast leading up to the action.

Durkin enjoyed a long career as a race caller before retiring from full-time duties in 2014. He was a mainstay of NBC's horse racing coverage from 1984 to 2010, and worked for the New York Racing Association from 1990 to 2014. He was given the Eclipse Award of Merit for his contributions to the sport in 2015.

FOX Belmont Stakes Broadcast Schedule 2023

Television coverage of the 2023 Belmont Stakes begins on Saturday with a pre-race show on FS1 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. (ET) before the broadcast switches to the main FOX channel. FOX will then show a couple of races before the big event, which is slated for a post time of 7:05 p.m. ET.
