Top Fantasy Football Streaming Kickers for Week 3

Top Fantasy Football Streaming Kickers for Week 3

Updated:

Six kickers put up at least 12 fantasy points in Week 2. Half of those players held an average draft position (ADP) higher than top-12 at the position entering Week 1 of the season.

Kicker is one of the most high-variance positions in fantasy football, and their production tends to be more about the offense they're tied to and their weekly matchup than any sort of individual skill. That makes it the perfect position to stream in fantasy football.

With that in mind, here are our top fantasy football streaming kickers for Week 3.

3. Chris Boswell, Pittsburgh Steelers (@ CLE)

Yes, kickers tied to bad offenses don't tend to perform well in fantasy football. Chris Boswell is doing everything he can to buck that trend, though. He is tied for the fourth-most points through two weeks thanks to 5 field goals and 2 extra points. Pittsburgh has found a knack for getting into field goal range, but failing to get into the end zone. A stellar defense gives Mike Tomlin the confidence to kick the football rather than go for it in those situations. Boswell was 5-for-5 in field goal attempts against the Browns in 2021 and even nailed one beyond 50 yards. Start him with confidence on Thursday night.

2. Jake Elliott, Philadelphia Eagles (@ WAS)

Jake Elliott finds himself in the exact opposite situation compared to Boswell. Elliott is connected to what has been one of the most prolific NFL offenses through two weeks of action. The Eagles are averaging a league-high 470.5 total yards per contest and are currently tied for fourth in points per game (31.0). They have a matchup against the Washington Commanders on tap for Week 3, which is a team that has allowed 6.6 yards per play so far (T-No. 30 in NFL). Philadelphia should have no trouble moving the ball down the field and that will result in more opportunities for Elliott to kick the football.

1. Will Lutz, New Orleans Saints (@ CAR)

This streaming recommendation has a lot more to do with the Panthers' defense than it does the Saints' offense. Carolina is allowing a whopping 16.5 fantasy points per game to opposing kickers through the first two weeks of the season. Graham Gano and Cade York have combined to go 8-for-8 in field goal attempts and 3-for-3 in extra points against the Panthers. That bodes well for Will Lutz's chances of posting double-digit fantasy points on Sunday. In his career, the 28-year-old has nailed 15 field goals and 33 extra points in 10 games against Carolina. That level of production makes him a perfect streaming option.
