The Oklahoma City Thunder (27-28) look to extend their winning ways to three games when they face the New Orleans Pelicans (29-28) in one of 11 NBA matchups scheduled for Monday, Feb. 13.

The Thunder won their second of back-to-back outings with Friday's 138-129 effort against the Portland Trail Blazers. On the other hand, the Pelicans look to begin their four-game road trip with a bang after suffering a 118-107 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Can the Thunder keep the momentum growing at home? Or will the Pelicans ruin the Paycom Center crowd's night?

Thunder vs. Pelicans Betting Trends

  • The Thunder have covered the spread 33 times this season (33-19-1).
  • The Pelicans have been underdogs by 2 points or more 20 times this year and are 6-13-1 ATS in those contests.
  • This season, Thunder games have hit the over 31 times out of 55 chances.
  • Pelicans games this season have hit the over on 30 of 55 set point totals (54.5%).
  • Oklahoma City has done a better job covering the spread in home games (17-9-0) than it has in road tilts (16-10-1).
  • New Orleans has been better against the spread at home (16-13-0) than on the road (10-15-1) this season.

Thunder vs. Pelicans Prediction & Pick

Playing outside of New Orleans has been tough for the Pelicans, who have lost six consecutive road games. The Pelicans' offense has been nowhere to be found in those outings. They're only averaging 106.3 points on .476/.312/.779 shooting splits over that stretch, also losing each game by an average of 11 points.

Meanwhile, the Thunder have won 10 of their last 14 home games. Their averaging 123.6 PPG over that stretch is a big reason behind that success. There's a good chance that the Thunder's scoring success will continue against the Pelicans, who surrender the 11th-most road points (117.4 PPG) this season.

With New Orleans being 10-16-1 ATS on the road and Oklahoma City sitting on a 17-10 ATS record at home this year, I'm even more convinced that the Thunder will emerge as the victors tonight.

Final Score Prediction: Thunder: 122 | Pelicans: 116

Thunder vs. Pelicans Best Bet

If you enjoy games with a ton of points on the board, you'll want to tune into this one. After all, the Thunder have experienced the over in 58.2% of their games thus far while the Pelicans have done so in 56.1% of their contests.

If that's not convincing enough, the over is also 6-2 in the Thunder's last eight home games, as well as 5-2 in the Pelicans' previous seven overall. Considering how they combined for 253 points in their last meeting at Paycom Center back in December, I'm bracing for another high-scoring battle.

Bet: Over 235.5 Points (-110)
