Squarespace Super Bowl 2023 Commercial Sees Adam Driver Multiply in Hilarious Meltdown

Updated:

Another Super Bowl is upon us, which means plenty star-studded commercials are on the way. Squarespace poked fun at itself this year with a sci-fi-like mystery featuring Adam Driver.

Check out Squarespace's 2023 Super Bowl commercial below:

SquareSpace Super Bowl Commercial 2023

Squarespace's ad opens with Driver looking at his computer. He confusingly asks out loud, "Squarespace is website, that makes websites?"

The scene transitions quickly from his desk to the open desert. He continues, "Meaning... it could create itself." Suddenly, the actor suddenly multiplies into a whole army of Adam Drivers. Then the desert's sun transforms into what he calls "The Singularity" and starts to suck in the entire world.

Driver watches as his hundreds of clones head into the unknown. One shouts out "Websitessss!" before disappearing. The camera finally shows a roughed-up Driver with a deeper voice who says, "You did it, Adam Driver." His clones reply, "No, you did it Adam Driver!" before the commercial ends.

This ad from Squarespace is truly bizarre, but in the best way possible. Driver is hilarious in his multiple forms, and though the commercial is short, it certainly creates plenty of intrigue in whatever "The Singularity" is. The whole bit plays out like a sci-fi, "Matrix"-esque movie trailer.

Squarespace's hilariously meta approach is sure to make the company some fans on Sunday. Driver being attached just makes this ad even better.
