Printable PGA Championship Pool for 2023 Field

Printable PGA Championship Pool for 2023 Field

Updated:

The second major on the golf calendar is set to tee off this Thursday at Oak Hill for the PGA Championship. Like the Masters, golf fans around the world will be glued to their TVs to see which player adds one of the most impressive trophies in the sport to their case.

FanDuel Sportsbook is offering a whole bunch of various ways for you to wager on the PGA Championship. Here at The Duel, we have created a different way for you to watch, compete and wager on the PGA Championship – a PGA Championship pool.

Golf pools, particularly around the majors, have become increasingly popular among groups of friends, family and co-workers.

We have done the legwork for you in creating a PGA Championship pool for 2023. Our version is printable, too, so you can bring it to a watch party and run the pool there, or pass the sheets out to anyone wanting to join in on the fun.

2023 PGA Championship Pool Rules

The rules are simple. The entire field is separated into tiers, and ours are based on FanDuel Sportsbook's odds to win the PGA Championship. There are six total tiers. For each of the first five tiers, everyone will select one golfer. In the sixth, you will select three golfers.

Once the tournament has concluded, everyone will total up the scores of their six best golfers out of the eight originally selected. Just like on the course, the person with the lowest combined score wins! This format allows you to make a couple of mistakes and not worry about taking a flyer or two on some guys in tier six.

If you are forced to use a golfer that withdrew or missed the cut, then that player's Round 3 and Round 4 scores will both be counted as their highest score from any round they recorded. If you need to use a player that doesn't record a score at all because of withdrawal or disqualification (highly unlikely that happens to three of your players), then you will simply duplicate the score of your next worst golfer and count that toward your overall total.

So for example, if Patrick Reed misses the cut while shooting 75 in Round 1 and 78 in Round 2, then you will count his Round 3 and Round 4 scores as 78 to reach his total for the pool.
