The 2022 MLB Playoffs have produced plenty of memorable moments and now this year's National League Championship Series is set. A trip to the World Series is on the line as the Philadelphia Phillies battle the San Diego Padres in the 2022 NLCS.
The Phillies caught a lot of people by surprise when they eliminated the Atlanta Braves in four games, qualifying for their first NLCS since 2010. Few people expected the Padres to get by the LA Dodgers, but they also did so in four games, marking their longest playoff run in 24 years.

Phillies vs Padres Prediction & Pick
The Phillies and Padres have been close to being evenly matched over the last few years. The two NLCS foes have met 25 times since 2018, resulting in 14 victories for Philadelphia — including four wins in seven meetings this season.
Even though the Padres have the home-field advantage here, I like the Phillies' chances of making the World Series. For starters, the Phillies are an impressive 7-2 in their last nine trips to Petco Park, indicating that they can definitely handle the Padres in their home stadium.
Sure, the Dodgers were the best regular-season team this year and the Padres beat them, but the Phillies eliminated the defending World Series champs just as easily. Everything's clicking at the right time for Philly and I see Rob Thomson's club winning a close-fought NLCS.
Final Series Prediction: Phillies Win 4-2
