NBA Draft Odds: Projecting the Top Five Picks on FanDuel Sportsbook

Updated:

The 2022 NBA Draft is just one week away, and basketball fans are buzzing with excitement. The fact there's no clear-cut consensus choice for the No. 1 overall pick only adds to the intrigue heading into next Thursday's big event.

NBA Draft odds on FanDuel Sportsbook do provide some clarity on how the first couple of picks could shake out. It appears Auburn forward Jabari Smith is the frontrunner to be the top selection, but Gonzaga's Chet Holmgren could challenge for that honor as well.

Here's how the top five is currently projected by the odds.

NBA Draft Top Picks 2022

1. Jabari Smith (-210)

The Tigers forward owns the best odds to be the top pick, maintaining his lead since the draft lottery over Holmgren, who's +135 to go No. 1. Smith would give the Orlando Magic an exciting piece who could lead their frontcourt for years to come.

2. Chet Holmgren (-175)

With Smith expected to kick things off, Holmgren owns the best odds to be the No. 2 pick at -175. He'd fit in perfectly with a young Oklahoma City Thunder team looking to emerge from its rebuild as a contender once again.

3. Paolo Banchero (-750)

Duke's Paolo Banchero is the clear frontrunner to be the No. 3 selection at -750 odds. Banchero would be a great consolation prize for the Houston Rockets if Smith and Holmgren are already off the board after averaging 17.2 points, 7.8 rebounds and 3.2 assists for the Blue Devils as a freshman.

4. Jaden Ivey (-360)

Purdue guard Jaden Ivey is the favorite to be the Sacramento Kings' choice at No. 4 with -360 odds. He'd form a formidable backcourt alongside De'Aaron Fox after Sacramento traded Tyrese Haliburton earlier this season.

5. Keegan Murray (-125)

Iowa wing Keegan Murray could close out the top five with -125 odds to be the No. 5 selection. He averaged a whopping 23.5 PPG last season for the Hawkeyes, along with 8.7 RPG and 1.9 blocks per contest. Ivey (+240), Shaedon Sharpe (+600) and Arizona's Benedict Mathurin (+950) are the other top contenders to be drafted by the Detroit Pistons here.
