Lions Get Long-Awaited Jameson Williams Injury Update Ahead of Week 13

Updated:

The Detroit Lions have been waiting for this day since they selected Jameson Williams out of Alabama with the No. 12 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. Williams, of course, suffered a torn ACL in the College Football National Championship game in January and has been rehabbing ever since.

Even with that injury, the Lions couldn't pass up on his talent and now they will finally get to see that on display on an NFL field. The Lions officially activated Williams.

We don't know 100 percent if Williams will play in Week 13, but head coach Dan Campbell has made some comments recently that would suggest there is a good chance the rookie wideout will be on the field in some capacity.

Detroit will want to bring Williams on slow, balancing not pushing him too hard and getting him some good experience on the field, in what is a lost season for the team.

The Lions head into a Week 13 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars as a 1-point home favorite, according to FanDuel Sportsbook's latest NFL odds.
