The 2022-23 NBA season continues on Tuesday with eight more games, including a battle between the Memphis Grizzlies and Los Angeles Lakers. The Grizzlies rank second in the Western Conference with a 38-25 record, while the Lakers check in 11th with a 31-34 record. This should be a good one.

Memphis enters as a victor in four of its last seven games, but fell short in a 135-129 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday. Meanwhile, the Lakers have won five of their last seven games thanks to a 113-105 victory over the Golden State Warriors on Sunday. Which team will earn a win on Tuesday?

Lakers vs. Grizzlies Betting Trends

  • The Lakers compiled a 36-46-0 record against the spread last season.
  • The Grizzlies had an ATS record of 15-10-1 as underdogs of 1.5 points or more last year.
  • The Lakers and their opponents combined to hit the over 47 out of 82 times last season.
  • The Grizzlies had 42 of their 82 games hit the over last year.

Lakers vs. Grizzlies Prediction & Pick

It's worth noting right off the bat that neither one of these teams is even close to full strength. The Grizzlies will be without Ja Morant (suspension) and Brandon Clarke (leg), while the Lakers will be without LeBron James (foot). D'Angelo Russell (ankle) also remains questionable to play for LA.

The Grizzlies sport a dismal 12-20 record on the road this season and have won just one game away from home since Jan. 14. That came against the lowly Houston Rockets. Memphis has no one inside capable of stopping Anthony Davis, who has scored at least 28 points in each of his last four games.

LA has won five of its last six home games against Memphis, so back the Lakers on Tuesday.

Final Score Prediction: Lakers: 113 | Grizzlies: 109

Lakers vs. Grizzlies Best Bet

The Lakers are averaging just 112.3 across the 18 games they have played without James this year. On the other side, the Grizzlies are averaging 113.5 points across the 10 games they have played without Morant. Neither one of those marks should make a bettor comfortable in backing the over.

The total has hit the under in six of the last seven games overall for both LA and Memphis. Not only that, but the under has cashed in 14 of the last 17 head-to-head matchups between these Western Conference squads as well. Expect a lot of bricked shots and sloppy possessions in this showdown.

Bet: Under 225 Total Points (-110)
