Karine Silva has lived up to the nickname "Killer" over the last few years. She heads into UFC Vegas 74 on a winning streak that's seen her finish six consecutive opponents — four by submission and one by TKO. She impressed in her UFC Fight Night debut most recently, submitting Poliana Botelho at just 4:55 into the first round.

Meanwhile, Ketlen Souza is set to make her UFC debut after signing with the promotion last month. The 27-year-old veteran won the vacant Invicta FC Flyweight Championship over Kristina Williams (by unanimous decision) in her most recent outing, leaving time to tell if she can find more success at the next level.

Although Souza hopes to make an impact, I don't see it happening. Silva has decimated her recent competition, finishing five of her past six opponents before the opening frame ended. With all three of Souza's career losses coming by some form of finish, I don't see her surviving the red-hot Brazilian this weekend.

I'm going with a double-chance option for the best bet by taking Silva to win by submission or points at -165 odds. Although she's more than capable of submitting Souza, it's important to remember that the latter is on a five-fight winning streak and hasn't been finished in three years. Furthermore, each of Souza's last three outings has gone the distance.

Even if Souza manages to survive Silva's submission arsenal, the odds-on favorite will do enough to get the judges on her side.
