Week 10 of the 2022 NCAA college football season includes an inter-division SEC battle between the Florida Gators and Texas A&M Aggies. Both teams are disappointing their fans and betting backers this season.

Florida enters off a pair of SEC losses while allowing more than 40 points to LSU and Georgia. Texas A&M has lost four straight games and a bowl game is very much in doubt, but a change at quarterback last week provides new life.

Moneyline: FLA: (+146) | TA&M: (-178)
Spread: FLA: +3.5 (-110) | TA&M: -3.5 (-110)
Total: 53.5 — Over: (-115) | Under: (-105)

Texas A&M enters this contest as a small home favorite on the spread (-3.5) and moneyline (-178). The takeback on a Florida victory is +146. The total is a little below average at 53.5 points, but is up from the over/under of 49 at Sunday's opener in Las Vegas.

Florida vs Texas A&M Prediction & Pick

Florida has allowed more than 550 yards offense to LSU and Georgia the last two games while losing 45-35 and 42-20. The Gators also allowed more than 550 yards offense to Tennessee in a 38-33 loss in a game the Gators scored a pair of late TD's to get the ATS cover and money.

Fortunately, A&M does not have a quality offense. But the Aggies got much better production from their prized QB recruit last week in his starting debut. Florida's defense is deficient and the Gators score and allow the exact same 30 points per game. Florida has only played one true road game in the loss at Tennessee, and then last week's neutral field loss to Georgia. The A&M defense has fallen off and allows 401 YPG vs FBS foes. But that's still better than Florida's defense that has allowed 457 yards per game.

Texas A&M has been a major disappointment, and last week the defense was run over by the top Ole Miss rushing attack which pounded out 390 rushing yards and kept running the ball with 63 attempts in a 31-28 Ole Miss win over A&M. But the Aggies prized freshman recruit, QB Connor Weigman, performed very well and led scoring drives on the Aggies first two possessions. He's taken over the offense and we saw the improvement last week for the A&M bottom tier offense.

Final Score Prediction: Texas A&M: 30 | Florida: 24

Quarterback Conner Weigman provided a huge upgrade to the A&M offense last week. The Aggies were 13th in the SEC averaging 342 YPG and last in points at 22 PPG until he took over as starter against Ole Miss. Weigman completed 28-of-44 passes for 338 yards and 4 TDs without an interception.

Weigman's skills along with increased confidence by his teammates to execute gives the Aggies new life. Florida has played five ranked teams and a stronger schedule. But Gators QB Anthony Richardson's 55% completion rate and 7:7 TD-to-INT ratio hardly provides much confidence, especially on the road at Kyle Field. The Gators have struggled even more and just got whacked again in the emotional Cocktail Party game against Georgia, which dropped Florida to 1-8 SU in their last 9 conference games.

Bet: Texas A&M -3.5 (-110)
