The 2021 MLB Home Run Derby put up quite a show at Coors Field in Denver, CO., on Monday night. New York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso ended up as the champ, earning the second Home Run Derby crown in his career.

Aside from the show that Alonso put on last night, fans witnessed an insane first round matchup between Shohei Ohtani and Juan Soto. The matchup took two different tie breakers including a thrilling three swing swing-off before Soto upset the game's most popular player.

One fan at Coors Field may have enjoyed this 2021 Home Run Derby the most, however.

Prior to the contest, the contestants signed a number of balls that ended up being used in Monday night's derby. One fan was lucky enough to catch a Soto signed baseball courtesy of one of Ohtani's 28 home runs during the contest.

Ohtani's night was exactly what fans were hoping for. Although he didn't end up hoisting the championship trophy, he crushed baseballs throughout the first round. The two-way phenom slugged six 500-foot home runs, which is the most ever in a single round since the Statcast era began in 2015.
