Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes probably wishes Arrowhead Stadium had a roof on it for the AFC Championship Game against the New England Patriots. While Tom Brady continues to prove that he thrives in the cold weather, it's the only time that Mahomes seems to struggle.

The likely NFL MVP has had the worst five games of his career, according to QBR, in the five coldest game temperatures he's played in – and the temperature will be somewhere in the 20-degree range on Sunday.

That's likely bad news to Mahomes fantasy owners this weekend, but even his bad games are something Nathan Peterman would give up a kidney for.

Now, the argument could be made that these particular games were against tougher opponents. After all, the Denver Broncos are always a tough matchup in the high altitude and then the Arizona Cardinals, Baltimore Ravens and Los Angeles Chargers all ranked in the Top 10 in terms of limiting FanDuel fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks.

But last week's game against the Indianapolis Colts is the lone exception, as they allowed the 12th-fewest FanDuel fantasy points to QBs this season. If we're looking for something to blame here, remember it was Mahomes' first-career playoff start.

At the end of the day, we're likely going to see two high-powered offenses going back and forth in a great football game at Arrowhead. This is just another stat that might point to the game going in the favor of New England, but it's not like Patriots' fans needed anything else to go their way this decade.
