49ers Super Bowl Odds Show Them With Unconvincing Chance Heading Into NFC Championship Game on FanDuel Sportsbook

It wasn't easy by any means, but the San Francisco 49ers found a way to sneak past the Dallas Cowboys in the Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs. Kicker Robbie Gould knocked down four crucial field goals and linebacker Fred Warner nabbed a key interception in what ended up as a 19-12 victory.

Now, San Francisco prepares for an NFC Championship Game clash with the Philadelphia Eagles and a trip to Super Bowl LVII on the line.

49ers Super Bowl Odds

Quarterback Brock Purdy will have to guide his team past the Eagles first, but the 49ers enter the Conference Championship Round with an unconvincing chance to win Super Bowl 57 at +320 odds. That ranks last out of the four teams left and gives San Francisco an unexpected underdog mentality.

There isn't too much recent history between these NFC squads. The Eagles and 49ers split regular-season meetings in 2020 and 2021, with the road team coming out on top each time. That was before pros like wide receiver AJ Brown and running back Christian McCaffrey were on the rosters, though.

The 49ers have been leaning on their defense all season long and it's exactly what they need to do on Sunday, too. Philadelphia owns one of the best rushing attacks in football, but San Francisco finished second in opponent rushing yards per game (79.0) and yards per carry allowed (3.4) in this campaign.

Forcing Philly to throw the ball in unfavorable situations and converting third downs on offense could result in San Francisco's first NFC Championship since 2019. For now, the 49ers are slated as 2.5-point road underdogs with +126 moneyline odds on Sunday, per FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds.
