A number of fantasy baseball owners likely woke up to notice something strange in their lineups today. Next to at least a few of their players' names, there was something they weren't used to seeing.

What they saw was the acronym PPD. And whether this is your first fantasy baseball league, or if you're a seasoned veteran, it's easy to forget what those letters stand for.

What Does PPD Mean in Fantasy Baseball?

Well, we're here to help. PPD simply stands for postponed in the world of fantasy baseball.

Two home openers were postponed Thursday due to inclement weather. The Chicago White Sox's matchup with the Seattle Mariners was moved to Friday, April 5, as was the St. Louis Cardinals' game against the San Diego Padres. Both matchups will be made up in day games Friday.

So, remember, when you're looking to set your fantasy baseball lineup, or making a waiver wire move, and you see the letters PPD, now you know it means the game has been postponed to a later date.

New customers will get 40/1 on any of the Final Four teams to win the tournament.
