Week 4 Fantasy Picks: Start 'Em, Sit 'Em for Browns vs Falcons

Week 4 Fantasy Picks: Start 'Em, Sit 'Em for Browns vs Falcons

Updated:

Week 4 of the NFL season includes an intriguing showdown when the Cleveland Browns and Atlanta Falcons. FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds show the Browns as 1.5-point favorites in what should be a close affair.

If you need some help with your fantasy lineups, here's our start 'em, sit 'em advice for this Week 4 showdown between the Browns and Falcons.

Amari Cooper Fantasy

Start Amari Cooper, WR, Cleveland Browns: It's hard to ignore Amari's Cooper early chemistry with quarterback Jacoby Brissett. He leads the team in targets by double digits, an impressive 30% of the team's target share. Cooper isn't just racking up a team-leading 219 receiving yards, but leads the team in red zone targets within the 10-yard line. The WR12 in PPR leagues up until this point, Cooper's put enough evidence through three games to believe in his fantasy value and should shred a Falcons defense that struggles against the pass. Atlanta ranks 24th in Football Outsiders' pass-defense DVOA metric and surrenders the fifth-most PPR points to the position thus far. Cooper checks in at WR10 in The Duel's Week 4 PPR rankings and is a must-start on Sunday.

Drake London Fantasy

Start Drake London, WR, Atlanta Falcons: The same logic can be applied to rookie Drake London. The Atlanta Falcons' have fallen in love with another young pass-catcher (ala Kyle Pitts last year) and he's put enough evidence to believe in this start. London leads the team with 25 targets and checks in at WR14. While he leaves a little to be desired in terms of efficiency (16) receptions, London is the top red zone threat. He's converted a team-leading 3 red zone targets into 3 receptions and 2 scores. Bottom line, London's fantasy production has been legit and he needs to be in your starting lineup. Cleveland's defense is not nearly as intimidating as previous years, giving up the sixth-most PPR points to opposing wideouts and ranking just 21st in pass-defense DVOA.

Kareem Hunt Fantasy

Sit Kareem Hunt, RB, Cleveland Browns: Kareem Hunt has been off to a terrific start, finishing at RB14 through the first three weeks of the season. While he may seem like an attractive FLEX option, the Falcons defense is better against pass-catching backs than you may think. This team only surrendered 7 receiving yards to Alvin Kamara, 18 yards to Cam Akers and a total of 34 receiving yards to the Seahawks' RBs. When it comes to rushing attempts, Nick Chubb is the clear No. 1 back on this team. Just look at his 54% rushing share. Be cautious on slotting Hunt into the FLEX role on Sunday.

Kyle Pitts Fantasy

Sit Kyle Pitts, TE, Atlanta Falcons: After three weeks of sample size, I need to see Kyle Pitts return as a top option in Atlanta's passing attack before I'm fully confident in his fantasy outlook. The tight end position is so fickle that he deserves a spot in most starting lineups, but this is more of a word of caution. He ranks a clear second on Marcus Mariota's list of preferred targets, a full 7 behind Drake London. His red zone usage is the most concerning, though. Pitts has seen just 1 red zone target for 10% of that share. Keep in mind, Pitts saw nearly 20% of Atlanta's red zone target share en route to his TE6 finish a year ago. Cleveland's defense has also allowed the 10th-fewest PPR points to opposing TEs thus far, so exercise caution.
