Week 13 Sunday Night Football Fantasy Picks: Start 'Em, Sit 'Em for Colts vs Cowboys
Week 13 of the 2022 NFL season features a thrilling cross conference showdown between the Indianapolis Colts and Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football. The Colts will be looking to play spoiler, while Dallas will be aiming to keep up with the rest of what is a talented NFC East division.
If you need some help with your fantasy lineups, here's our start 'em, sit 'em advice for this Week 13 Sunday Night Football matchup.
Parris Campbell Fantasy
Start Parris Campbell, WR, Indianapolis Colts: This is a tough matchup for every player on the Colts offense. Dallas has posted the best total defense DVOA rating and allows the fifth-fewest PPR fantasy points per game overall. Wide receiver Parris Campbell still has FLEX upside given the game script, though. Indianapolis is expected to go down early, which would cause quarterback Matt Ryan to keep throwing the football in an attempt to catch up. Campbell has logged at least 5 receptions and 67 yards in two of his last three games. Dallas has also allowed 11 touchdowns to opposing wide receivers (T-No. 21 in NFL). There's enough upside to give Campbell a chance under the bright lights.
Tony Pollard Fantasy
Start Tony Pollard, RB, Dallas Cowboys: Don't look now, but Tony Pollard has racked up at least 20 touches in each of his last three games. He remains the 1A option in the backfield as Ezekiel Elliott serves as the 1B. That bodes well for his chances of balling out on Sunday night, espcially in the passing game. Pollard has tallied 110 receiving yards over the last two weeks and now faces a Colts defense that has allowed the eighth-most receiving yards to opposing RBs (490). Indianapolis also gave up a touchdown to two different RBs in Week 12. A few early screens should help Pollard break a long gain down the field and possibly even score. He has RB1 upside.
Matt Ryan Fantasy
Sit Matt Ryan, QB, Indianapolis Colts: Fantasy managers debating starting Matt Ryan due to injuries or because they are in a superflex league should be looking for any other option available. The 37-year-old draws a nightmare matchup against a Dallas defense that ranks No. 1 in pass defense DVOA rating. The Cowboys have also given up the fifth-fewest fantasy points to opposing QBs and allowed just 12 passing touchdowns. That's tied for the sixth-lowest mark in the NFL. Ryan has thrown only 11 touchdowns compared to 10 interceptions and is averaging a disappointing 264.3 passing yards per game. His floor is way too low to justify a start with the fantasy playoffs right around the corner.
Michael Gallup Fantasy
Sit Michael Gallup, WR, Dallas Cowboys: Michael Gallup made his triumphant return from a torn ACL back in Week 4, but has failed to make much of an impact from a fantasy perspective. The 26-year-old is averaging only 34.3 yards per game and has found the end zone just one time. The biggest problem here is that Gallup is averaging a career-low 3.0 yards after the reception per catch. Even when he sees the necessary targets, he is failing to take advantage of the opportunities. The Colts rank in the middle of the pack when it comes to defending WRs, but they are allowing only 9.4 yards per completion (No. 6 in NFL). Keep Gallup stashed on the bench for now.
