Week 10 Thursday Night Football Fantasy Picks: Start 'Em, Sit 'Em for Falcons vs Panthers

Week 10 Thursday Night Football Fantasy Picks: Start 'Em, Sit 'Em for Falcons vs Panthers

Updated:

Week 10 of the 2022 NFL season kicks off with a divisional rivalry game between the Atlanta Falcons and Carolina Panthers. Both teams are coming off disappointing losses in Week 9, but FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds list the Falcons as 2.5-point road favorites over the Panthers.

If you need some help with your fantasy lineups, here's our start 'em, sit 'em advice for this Week 10 Thursday Night Football matchup.

Kyle Pitts Fantasy

Start Kyle Pitts, TE, Atlanta Falcons: Kyle Pitts has been extremely frustrating and disappointing from a fantasy perspective this year, teasing managers with a few big games between long stretches of mediocrity. One of those breakout performances came against Carolina two weeks ago, however, when Pitts erupted for 80 receiving yards and a touchdown on 5 catches. Pitts has seen 16 targets over his last two games combined, and Falcons quarterback Marcus Mariota has acknowledged that he needs to do a better job getting Pitts the ball. Look for the second-year tight end to turn in another strong performance against the Panthers.

Chris Olave Fantasy

Start D'Onta Foreman, RB, Carolina Panthers: After back-to-back games with 118 rushing yards, D'Onta Foreman came crashing back to earth in Week 9, managing just 23 rushing yards on 7 carries. That was largely because of the game script, however, as Carolina went down early to the Cincinnati Bengals and was forced to abandon the run. Expect Foreman to be busier in what should be a much closer game in Week 10, especially after he torched the Falcons for 118 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns on 26 carries in Week 8. The 26-year-old has established himself as the Panthers' top running back following the Christian McCaffrey trade and is poised for a big game leading Carolina's backfield.

Drake London Fantasy

Sit Drake London, WR, Atlanta Falcons: London Drake got off to a fast start this year, but the numbers just haven't been there for him lately. Over his last six games, he's averaging only 2.8 catches, 5.2 targets and 25.8 receiving yards per game. He also has more turnovers (1) than touchdowns (0) during that stretch. While he's still Atlanta's No. 1 receiver on the depth chart, Drake can't be trusted to produce quality fantasy numbers right now and should be planted on your bench until further notice, especially with Cordarrelle Patterson back from injury and Pitts seeing a greater target share lately.

P.J. Walker Fantasy

Sit P.J. Walker, QB, Carolina Panthers: Fantasy gamers may be tempted to stream P.J. Walker this week with several teams on bye, especially after Walker threw for 317 yards and a touchdown against Atlanta's generous pass defense in Week 8. He followed that up with his worst game of the season in Week 9, however, completing just 3-of-10 passes for 9 yards and getting picked off twice before being benched for Baker Mayfield. Walker is back under center to start Week 10, but he doesn't seem to have much of a leash. Carolina's offense is a full-blown mess right now, making Walker difficult to trust here.
