VIDEO: Remembering When Kevin Youkilis Tackled Rick Porcello at the Mound to Start Insane Red Sox-Tigers Brawl

There's something about a batter charging the mound that really fires up baseball fans. The pitcher never sees it coming, like in this instance with Rick Porcello and Kevin Youkilis.

The Boston Red Sox fans at Fenway Park loved this brawl, echoing "YOUUUUK" throughout the stadium, and can you blame them? After taking some high heat off his front shoulder, the slugger wastes no time going right after Porcello.

The Detroit Tigers pitcher seems surprised as he's chased down. Youkilis then decides to throw his helmet at him before attempting to tackle him to the ground. Porcello actually holds his own though, turning the tackle into a reversal-styled slam straight out of WWE.

This is certainly a baseball brawl for the ages, in part because we get to see a few solid seconds of this one-on-one battle between Youk and Porcello, before everyone else gets involved.

Though Porcello would eventually join the Red Sox in 2015, even winning a Cy Young Award with the team, he and Youkilis never became teammates, as Youk's final season in Boston came in 2011.
