VIDEO: Remembering When Josh Harrison Shockingly Escaped a 5-Man Rundown at Third Base Against the Mets

Updated:

Baseball rundowns are always exciting, especially when you're involved. Who doesn't love a good game of pickle, right? Well Josh Harrison must have played once or twice as a kid.

There is a question of whether or not Harrison went out of the baseline, one that the New York Mets would certainly like to revisit looking back, but the third base umpire ruled that the runner was safe. It could be viewed as a bad call, but that shouldn't discount the elusiveness of Harrison.

With spin moves and stutter-steps like this, the Pittsburgh Pirates infielder could have been an NFL running back in another life, but his skills are pretty lethal on the base paths too. He makes Eric Campbell and Ruben Tejada look silly as they make their attempts to tag him.

What a show for the fans and the Pirates dugout, who all loved the circus act from Harrison. He is one of the best base-runners in the league, and this play is just another example of that.
