VIDEO: Remembering James Harrison's Legendary Hit on a Browns Fan Who Ran Onto the Field

NFL linebacker James Harrison was known for laying the lumber during his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers. His combination of size and speed led to a number of devastating hits, but one of his most legendary ones did not come against an opposing player. It came against a Cleveland Browns fan.

To set the scene, the Steelers were taking on the Browns in a heated rivalry game back on Christmas Eve in 2005. One Cleveland fan wanted to get a taste of the action for himself and ran onto the field. It wasn't long before he was met with a massive body slam by Harrison that left him down in pain.

It's worth noting this was a bit before Harrison built a reputation for being a tough-nosed tackler with no regard for other players' bodies. It was only his third year in the league and he wasn't even a full-time starter yet. That didn't stop Harrison from making an impact on the game in a way the fans loved.

On top of the hit, the fan was interviewed by the local news station the day after and made a ridiculous claim that being body slammed onto what was a cold, hard field didn't hurt. A lot of drinking and a pure hatred for the Steelers obviously had the man's adrenaline running at an all-time high.
