VIDEO: Remembering Bill Cowher's Hilarious Meltdown at the Referees in 1995

The Pittsburgh Steelers have had an almost unbelievable amount of consistency at the head coaching spot over the years. Since 1969, only three people have held the job: Mike Tomlin, Chuck Noll and Bill Cowher.

All three have been outstanding coaches, albeit with some difference in temperament. Tomlin tends to keep his cool on the sidelines, but that was often not the case for Cowher. He wasn't afraid to let referees know when he was unhappy.

In this game, the Steelers were called for a 12 men on the field penalty, in what looked to have been a mistake by the referees.

Cowher didn't just yell at the referees about their blunder, he went out and got proof. Cowher had a photo printed out to showcase their mistake, but he got ignored.

When the head referee continued to ignore him, Cowher even shoved the photograph in the official's shirt pocket.

Nowadays if a coach put their hands on an official it would almost certainly lead to a penalty, and likely a hefty fine to go with it. Of course, in today's NFL Cowher also would have been able to challenge the terrible call.
