Venus Williams Wimbledon Prediction 2023

Venus Williams is back at Wimbledon after being awarded a wild card entry to London. It's an exciting development given she has won the storied tournament five times. The veteran has one of the more decorated careers in women's tennis history and will look to prove she still has what it takes to win.

Check out more 2023 Wimbledon coverage from The Duel:

With that being said, she is not someone bettors should be targeting to move on further than the first few rounds. Williams has advanced past the fourth round in only two of her last nine appearances at Wimbledon. The last time she took home the trophy was a whopping 15 years ago in 2008 as well.

Williams' recent outings do not provide confidence in her ability to recapture the magic, either. She has suffered a first-round loss in five of her last seven Grand Slam showings and owns a 2-3 record across all action in 2023. Williams is someone worth rooting for, but not someone worth betting on.
