Updated Titans Wide Receiver Depth Chart After Robert Woods Trade

Updated Titans Wide Receiver Depth Chart After Robert Woods Trade

The Tennessee Titans made an offseason splash on Saturday afternoon when they traded for veteran wide receiver Robert Woods from the Los Angeles Rams. It's a move that gives quarterback Ryan Tannehill another offensive weapon and could propel the team to its third straight AFC South title.

Here's a look at the Titans' updated WR depth chart for the 2022 NFL season.

Titans WR Depth Chart 2022

1. AJ Brown

Of course, the top of the depth chart is dominated by fourth-year pro AJ Brown. The dynamic pass-catcher followed up back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons by racking up 869 yards and 5 touchdowns on 63 receptions in 2021. Brown's ability to beat defenders deep down the field or create space using his elite route-running skills makes him one of the best young wideouts in the league.

2. Roberts Woods

Reports claim Woods chose Tennessee over a few other options in trade talks simply due to the fact that he likes what the Titans bring to the table on offense. It makes sense given the 29-year-old excels at getting open on play-action passes and has always been a capable run blocker. Woods may be coming off an ACL injury, but he has averaged a respectable 68.7 yards per game over the last four seasons.

3. Nick Westbrook-Ikhine

Nick Westbrook-Ikhine is the only other WR on the roster that made any kind of real impact last season. The Indiana product came out of nowhere to log 476 yards and 4 touchdowns on 38 receptions. He stepped up when Julio Jones was injured and is a solid third option to have waiting in the wings.

4. Dez Fitzpatrick

The Titans selected Dez Fitzpatrick in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft after he finished with over 2,500 receiving yards in college. While he only appeared in four games last season, the 24-year-old may be called into action more often due to the team's lack of depth.

5. Cody Hollister

Cody Hollister has been moved up and down from the practice squad over the last three seasons, seeing time on the field in 10 games over that span. The departure of Chester Rogers in free agency may lead to the former Arkansas standout seeing more reps in the slot position.

6. Racey McMath

7. Mason Kinsey

8. Josh Malone

9. Cameron Batson
