Updated Eagles QB Depth Chart After 2022 NFL Draft

Though the Philadelphia Eagles didn't select a quarterback in the 2022 NFL Draft, they moved quickly to scoop up Carson Strong as an undrafted free agent signing. He's set to join a QB room led by third-year breakout candidate Jalen Hurts.

Here's how the Eagles' quarterback depth chart stacks up after the 2022 draft.

1. Jalen Hurts

Hurts will enter camp as the clear-cut QB1 for this team. The former second-round pick showed flashes of greatness in his sophomore campaign, throwing for 3,144 yards and 16 TDs while adding 784 rushing yards and another 10 TDs on the ground. Now he'll finally have a true No. 1 wideout after the team traded for rising star AJ Brown during the draft. Hurts can quiet any doubts about his potential as a franchise QB with an electric year.

2. Gardner Minshew

Gardner Minshew drew two starts for Philadelphia last season while serving behind Hurts, totaling 428 yards, 4 TDs and 1 INT during those outings. He's widely seen as one of the league's best backups and could draw trade interest if any teams see their starters go down before the regular season kicks off.

3. Reid Sinnett

Reid Sinnett was claimed off of waivers by the Eagles last season, though he didn't make any appearances for the team. Sinnett went undrafted in 2020 and spent time on the Miami Dolphins' practice squad before landing in Philadelphia. He'll challenge for QB3 duties.

4. Carson Strong

The Eagles were aggressive in courting Strong after he didn't hear his name called, handing him one of the largest guarantees for an UDFA ($320,000) ever. It's clear the team likes his potential after throwing for 4,175 yards, 36 TDs and just 8 INTs as a redshirt junior last season. He'll be in the mix for QB3 duties.
