Tyreek Hill Provides Encouraging Injury Update After Being Seen in Walking Boot
The Miami Dolphins would like to turn the page quickly on a brutal blowout loss to the New York Jets in Week 5. Not only did Miami lose the game, 40-17, but backup quarterback Teddy Bridgewater was ruled out after the team's very first offensive play.
Third stringer Skylar Thompson looked like a rookie in his first NFL action, and the game had all the makings for a ugly affair.
Tyreek Hill Injury
What made matters worse was an apparent injury to superstar wideout Tyreek Hill. Hill entered the game nursing a quad ailment, and played just 64% of the offensive snaps after dealing with a new foot issue. He was even seen wearing a walking boot on his left foot after the loss.
Fortunately, Hill shared an encouraging injury update during his postgame comments.
In a classic comment from one of the league's funniest stars, Hill told reporters that he "feel(s) good" and explained it as "Cheetah just got a banged-up paw."
Cheetah, of course, refers to the playful nickname Hill earned because of his elite speed. Either way, Cheetah doesn't sound too concerned with this foot injury. It's easier for players to downplay injuries and Dolphins fans will want to pay close attention to the team's injury report heading into Week 6.
Hill and his Dolphins are scheduled for a Week 6 meeting with the Minnesota Vikings. As it stands, Miami is considered a slime 3-point home underdog, according to NFL odds on FanDuel Sportsbook. A healthy Hill, and the potential return of quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, would help sway those odds before kickoff.
