Both players have already enjoyed success on the big stage, and many are eager to see the two matched up in the most important game of the season

However, it's not the first time these two talents have shared the field.

Brady and Mahomes have played four games each other, with each QB earning two wins. At a 2-2 all-time record, this year's Super Bowl will split the tie in one quarterback's favor.

The two first met in 2018, with Brady throwing for 340 yards and a TD, adding another score on the ground in his team's 43-40 regular-season win. Mahomes threw for 353 yards and 4 TDs to 2 INTs in a losing effort.

Later that season the quarterbacks met in the AFC Championship Game. The elder statesmen edged out another victory, with Brady and the New England Patriots advancing to the Super Bowl (which they eventually won). Brady threw for 348 yards, 1 TD and 2 INTs, while Mahomes put up 295 yards and 3 TDs.

In December 2019, Mahomes got his first win against Brady. The Chiefs QB totaled 283 yards with 1 TD and 1 INT against the Pats. Brady managed 169 yards with 1 TD and 1 INT.

Finally, Mahomes and Brady met earlier this season in Week 13. Mahomes put up 462 yards and 3 TDs in Kansas City's 27-24 win. Brady registered 345 yards, 3 TDs and 2 INTs in the matchup.

Over those four head-to-head games, Mahomes is averaging 348.3 yards per game, racking up 11 TDs and just 3 INTs. Brady, meanwhile, is averaging 300.5 YPG, throwing 6 TDs and 5 INTs against the Chiefs' star.

When these two face off in February, it'll likely be a shootout. Kansas City is a slight 3-point favorite over Tampa in a game with a 56.5-point over/under, per FanDuel Sportbook's NFL betting odds.
