Who Does Stanford Play Next in the College World Series?

The 8-seed Stanford Cardinal have been assigned to Bracket 2 for the 2023 College World Series along with the No. 1 Wake Forest Demon Deacons, No. 5 LSU Tigers and Tennessee Volunteers. Stanford will face Tennessee on Monday, June 19 in a do-or-die game for both teams.

Stanford lost to Wake Forest, 3-2, on Saturday while Tennessee fell to LSU, 6-3. The loser of Monday's matchup will be eliminated from the tournament while the winner will move on.

Stanford needs to win on Monday to stay alive in the tournament. Its ensuing matchups will depend on the results of its game as well as the outcome of the other contests in the bracket.

Meanwhile, the men's College World Series Final will begin on Saturday, June 24 and last until Monday, June 26, if necessary. This is a best-of-three series between the winner of Bracket 1 and the winner of Bracket 2.
