Royal Liverpool Location, Weather & History for 2023 Open Championship in England

Following last week's Scottish Open and win by Rory McIlroy, the PGA players, DP World Tour, and LIV Golfers head to England for the 2023 Open Championship.
Nearly all of the top-60 golfers in the world golf rankings are in the field as the leading golfers battle the elements and course in pursuit of the Claret Jug.
Royal Liverpool Golf Club Location & Course
The British Open golfers will tee it up starting on Thursday, July 20 at Royal Liverpool Golf Club (Hoylake) in Merseyside, England. The flat 7,381-yard Par 71 course last hosted the Open in 2014, which this year's favorite Rory McIlroy also won.

The Weather Channel golf forecast shows temperatures in the mid-60s all four days with a 50% chance of morning rain showers greeting the players Thursday. Friday through Sunday's advance forecast shows up to a 75% chance of rain is likely with SW winds 10-15 mph.
Royal Liverpool Golf Club History
This is the third Open Championship at Royal Liverpool since 2006 when Tiger Woods won followed by McIlroy in 2014. The course previously played as a Par 72, but now is Par 71 with a new par 3 at hole No. 17.
