Here's a Realistic Chiefs' Trade Package for Kadarius Toney

Reports continue to surface around the possibility of the New York Giants trading wide receiver Kadarius Toney just one year after drafting him with the No. 20 overall pick.

The Kansas City Chiefs may not be looking to trade for any star receivers like Deebo Samuel, but Toney should be available for a much lower cost. Here's a realistic trade package KC could put together to land Toney.

Kadarius Toney Trade Rumors

This is unexplored territory in a way given the fact that first-round picks are rarely dealt following their rookie season. The Giants have been adamant that it would take a significant return in order to deal Toney. A second and seventh round pick in 2022 would have to at least intrigue New York, though.

What the Giants have working for them here is that Toney produced when on the field in 2021. The Florida product hauled in 39 of his 57 targets for 420 yards across 10 games played. The true downside is that the 23-year-old has a tendency to skip voluntary workouts and not be a team player.

The Chiefs own two second-round picks (No. 50 & 62) and could opt to package the latter with one of their four seventh-round picks (No. 233, 243, 251 or 259). It's a deal that wouldn't break the back to go through with and also gives head coach Andy Reid a new dynamic weapon to mess around with.

As for New York, acquiring a second-round pick gives the front office an opportunity start fresh by grabbing an elite playmaker. The idea of selecting a wide receiver at No. 62 shouldn't be ruled out given players like Skyy Moore and John Metchie III have been mocked around that spot as of late.
